SmartLipo laser liposuction refers to the invasive cosmetic procedure which uses a laser to melt away the fat under your skin. On the other hand, CoolSculpting refers to a non-invasive cosmetic procedure which uses the cooling applicator in freezing away the fat which is beneath your skin. CoolSculpting and SmartLipo laser liposuction are fat reduction procedures which have minimal recovery and downtime period. Both of these procedures will lead to a fat reduction in body parts such as the chin, upper thighs, upper arms and stomach. SmartLipo is a minor surgical procedure while CoolSculpting is a non-invasive procedure.

Duration

SmartLipo procedure sessions take an average of one hour and in some cases, they can last longer depending on the part of the body which is receiving treatment. Some of the common side effects of the SmartLipo laser liposuction include discoloured or loose skin, discomfort, numbness or pain in the treatment area. Some patients may experience lumpy or dimpled tissue in the treatment area. One may also develop skin necrosis, blood clots, infection at the site and scar tissue under the skin. When it comes it CoolSculpting some of the side effects may include the following: stinging, tugging or pinching sensation during treatment, pain, aching, bruising, redness in the eyes, swelling and temporary skin sensitivity.

According to the report revealed by the plastic surgeons, the average cost of SmartLipo laser liposuction is about $5,450. The cost will also depend on the part of the body which will receive treatment, with larger treatment areas such as the buttocks and stomach being very expensive. Hips, neck or face, thigh area, back fat (for females) will cost you about $2,500. Buttocks, back fat (for males) cost about $3,000. The lower part of the stomach will cost you about $3,500. Fat around the knees will cost about $4,000. The upper part of the stomach will cost you $4,500. The average cost of CoolSculpting is about $2,000 to $4,000 depending on the areas you wish to treat, how many sessions that you require, and the size of the applicator. Very large applicators which are used in the abdomen cost about $1,500 while small applicators which are used in the upper arms will cost about $750.
